Personal assistance is provided in the areas of exploring career options; identifying and developing employment skills; gaining practical experience; and in planning and completing successful job or graduate and professional school searches.

Career Counseling
Arrange an individual meeting to:
- learn about careers that match your interests, abilities, values and personality,
- discuss choosing, changing or confirming your major, or
- identify and explore career options associated with your major
- take the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) and/or the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and receive a personal interpretation of your results and how they relate to your career choices
- develop and implement your personal job or internship search strategy, or
- explore graduate school
Resume & Cover Letter Development
Learn how to successfully market yourself through the development of “targeted” resumes and cover letters. Or, utilize the resume outlines and sample cover letters by registering with Carlow’s CareerAssist. (The Career Center’s online career management system.)
Employment & Internships
Discuss your personal job or internship search strategy with an experienced career counselor. Gain access to internships, employment (on & off campus, full & part-time) and service learning and volunteer opportunities at: https://carlow-csm.symplicity.com/students/.

Job Fairs & Career Events

Employer Mock Interview Program
Develop or improve your interview skills by participating in a mock interview with a career counselor (digitally recorded option) or with an employer representative.
The CareerZone
Research careers, employers and graduate schools utilizing materials and resources housed in “The Career Zone” located in 324 Grace Library.
